The Naked Forest

Late autumn: our leaves have just about fallen. There is a bit of gold left, but most are underfoot, growing soft and tattered as old newsprint. This is the time the forest reveals its secrets—treasures that were hidden beneath a canopy of foliage. Nests and puffballs, berries and birds.  


And sticks. So many sticks, it is hard for a dog to choose.
